It was great to be back in the studio after a six-week hiatus due to all the traveling I’ve been doing lately. Such pauses are always great because there’s an embarrassment of new music to play; the vast majority of this week’s show was new stuff – at least new to me.

So many tracks, but two deserve special mention: Ipacuba, by Gilles Peterson’s Havana Cultura Band, and this track, The Melody, by classical pianist Francesco Tristano remixed by Detroit techno god Carl Craig. This video is excellent, btw.
