Miss-communication or Miss-take?

Over the weekend a new Miss Czech Republic was crowned. Before you yawn massively, remember that the Czechs, like the Venezuelans, actually give a damn about beauty contests. This year’s contest, however, was overshadowed by the fact that the Miss from two years ago, Diana Kobzanova, posed nekkid for LEO, a hardcore porn mag here. Kobzanova has been stripped (sorry, had to) of her title, and lawsuits and countersuits are flying. But the whole sordid tale has exposed (heh) another, perhaps more disturbing aspect of the Miss pageant: in order to participate, candidates are required to sign an exclusive contract with the promoter, a modeling agency called Art Production K. The contract goes for three years.
