I’m back from a long weekend in Jeseniky, northern Moravia, where it was (mostly) beautiful and warm. It was my first time out there, and the region was a revelation: I had no idea it was as pretty as it was.

On the way back tonight, I decided to pick up hitchhikers. The first one was in a little town near Hanusovice. He smelled pretty bad, and explained that it was because he’d spent a week out in the forest. After a few kilometers more, he explained that the week he’d spent out in the forest were actually spent guarding his nearly 400 pot plants…
