What a Hailstorm Can Do to a Jet

As I get ready to do a lot of traveling (and remote blogging) from Copenhagen, Grahamstown and Cape Town, South Africa, it always makes me feel good to follow news from the aviation industry.

In this case, here are some photos of what happened to an EasyJet plane that flew into a hailstorm over Geneva on Aug. 15. (via Boing Boing)

For those of you on that side of the pond, EasyJet is the European Southwest. No frills, super cheap (relatively speaking). I saw an EasyJet fare from Prague to London Stansted for 890 CZK one way (around $31.50 USD). Just my luck it’d be on this plane.
