Christmas eve has come and gone here in Kafkaville, and sometime soon back home, they’ll be opening presents too. I get waves of sentimentality on this day, and so I’ll try to close before another wave comes in.

For me, the biggest Christmas present I could have gotten is the ability to make it to another one. To take part in the joined hands at the Christmas table, knowing that all those close to me are safe and sound and healthy, is for me as good a present as I’ll ever want.
