Today’s FS Final Word brings news that the Prague Business Journal has gone out of business. What’s especially odd is the reason: an 18 million CZK ($709 thousand USD) tax burden from previous management.

I was a regular reader of the PBJ, and hope there are plans to revive the PBJ in some way. I’d say they have about a month before their talent concentration – the real assets of a newspaper – starts to drift away, if they haven’t started drifting away already.

UPDATE Mon Jan 12 2004 1246: The PBJ website now has a press release confirming the closure.
