Congratulations are in order to Prague’s DJ Blue, who is the new world record holder for DJing. He played an 81-hour set (3 days, 8 hours, for those of you too lazy to do the math).

The longest set I’ve ever done was 8 hours, and even then I was starting to get weary toward the end. It got to the point where I was seriously considering doing a country set just to keep things interesting.

The other question involves the records necessary to do a set like that. If he was using vinyls, that must have meant crate upon crate of material. For me, since I use MP3s, I have it all on a couple of hard drives, but just lugging in that many crates should qualify someone for a prize.

I can only wonder what the set sounded like. Any witnesses out there?
