I’ve said it before, and will apparently have to repeat it several times into the future: I really want to believe Stanislav Gross is not a swine. The latest evidence, however, does not work in his favor.

He took a police helicopter to the funeral of national hero and Olympic hockey coach Ivan Hlinka in Litvínov so that he could avoid the traffic.

Lots of others made it to the funeral using terrestrial means. Mere mortals like supermodel and Litvínov native Eva Herzigova, for example.

News of Gross’ helicopter ride is going over like a fart in a spacesuit among both opposition politicians and the public. Maybe if Gross was headlining Glastonbury or the US Festival or something, but a funeral? It’s quite an inauspicious start.
