In Berlin

I’m in Berlin, visiting the good people at Fluter.de. Fluter is a portal for young Germans sponsored by the Bundeszentrale fur Politische Bildung, a governmental organization charged with providing Germans with education on democracy.

There are many things cool about Fluter, and it’s not at all what you’d expect from a government agency. Fluter is lively, covering all kinds of things relevant to young Germans, from social issues and politics to entertainment. And it’s powered by our Campsite content management system. In fact, since it’s open source, Fluter has submitted numerous improvements to the software.

So the next few posts will be coming from Berlin. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for angels on the tops of the buildings, or sitting in new BMWs, like in “Wings of Desire.”
