Just one bug is keeping us from releasing LiveSupport 1.o. Just one pesky bug. It’s a doozy, though, and is requiring our developers to rewrite a lot of code to fix it.

The problem is that when you want to play a playlist, it takes a long time to get the playlist to start – 7 seconds is the average. And that’s just not acceptable for any radio station. So we’re doing a lot of optimization and rewriting to try to get the response times down to something a station can live with.

What else have I been up to? LiveSupport, almost 24/7. Pretty much work/sleep/work and not much else. I haven’t even had the time or interest to blog about Iveta BartoÅ¡ová.

I was talking to my carnál Tony about the dilemma I feel in blogging these days. I feel like I’ve painted myself into a corner, to be honest.

While a lot of people put all kinds of stuff about their personal lives out on the blog, I haven’t really felt that urge. And I don’t know what else to say about Czech news. There seem to be three types of news these days; the regular dose of outrage (Gross and bribery allegations being the latest of these), the headlong rush to make this the Belgium of the east (steady, dependable, not too controversial), or the ‘quirkies.’

I guess it’s just a case of the blog blues, and it’ll go away eventually.
