Stranger in Moscow

I’m in an internet cafe in the rather industrial zone of Ismailovo, a little way outside the center of Moscow. Got in fine last night, and am getting ready for today’s presentation.

I get to follow a guy from Microsoft, which will be interesting. Hey, I dual-boot. I’m no ideologue. But it will be interesting to see how much FUD will be slung. (FUD: Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt).

Had a nice walk around Red Square, and was surprised to see that Lenin’s tomb is actually kinda small. I always envisioned it – and the rest of Red Square – to be a lot bigger.

  1. Lucky guy! šŸ™‚ I haven’t been to Moscow yet.
And I’ve been dual-booting for over a month now, and Linux (Mandriva) is totally gorgeous, except I’ve not able to run my favourite dictinary programs on it. šŸ˜¦
