Flood Watch III

AktualnÄ›.cz is reporting that the Spolana complex will have to be shut down when the Labe reaches Stage 3. They also say they have allotted 9,500 sandbags for the complex.

The thing is that 9,500 sandbags doesn’t strike me as being too many for a complex the size of Spolana.

Besides, according to this graphic over at my dad’s site, to make a sandbag wall 100 feet (about 31m) long and 4 feet (about 1.3m) high takes about 19.5 hours to make.

I just hope Spolana has enough people and enough forewarning to start on those walls – fast.
