I’ve been in Dakar since Thursday, and I really love this place.

I mean, how can you not love the local street food, served in what is called a ‘dibiterie’, shortened to ‘dibi’.

A dibi serves lamb or chicken, grilled on charcoal and served with a mustard sauce with onions and piri-piri on the side. It’s excellent.I had my first dibi with my friend and colleague Abdoulaye, and it was at his favorite bar/restaurant, which happened to have a local band playing Senegalese cover versions of 60s tunes. A lot of fun!
