I won’t be doing my Radio 1 show this Saturday because for the next week and a half I’ll be in West Africa, in Dakar, Senegal (one of my favorite places on the planet) and Accra, Ghana (a place I’ve heard only great things about).
The reason I’m heading to Accra is that I’ll be holding training sessions on our Campware software at the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Center for ICT Excellence in Accra; the Center is holding a major event on open source software and media, and we’ve been honored with an invitation to lead workshops on Campsite and Campcaster. So, depending on connectivity, posting may be light or it may be more active. We’ll see.
It was very cool of Ethan Zuckerman to respond to my query about advice for travelers to Accra. Just reading the post – and the comments that followed – really got me excited about going to Accra. Ethan, I owe you one, and I’m really looking forward to my first kelewele.
